Where the sea meets the vineyards.

Finest wines from the Tuscan Coast.

Our values

To protect, promote, and showcase the region and its wines, while preserving the unique identity of the Tuscan Coast.

Our Association was founded on the shared commitment of producers who share a deep connection to the Tuscan Coast, a region unique in the world for its natural features, history, and winemaking culture.

Defending this region means protecting the biodiversity of its landscapes, its native grape varieties, and the agricultural traditions that make it special. It means preserving the mineral-rich soils, the sea breezes, the vineyards overlooking the sea, and the hills that bear witness to centuries of farming wisdom.

About Us

Founded on May 15, 2003, in Bolgheri, the Associazione Grandi Cru della Costa Toscana brings together 48 producers, spanning a total of 1,500 hectares of vineyards and producing over 5 million bottles.

Established to promote and spread the culture of winemaking quality across the provinces of Massa, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, and Grosseto, the association serves as a passionate guardian of the territory and its biodiversity.

Our Goal

To protect, promote, and communicate the territory and its wines, while preserving the unique identity of the Tuscan Coast.

Wines

Each bottle embodies the balance between land and sea, tradition and innovation: a true sensory journey to discover the Tuscan coast.

The wines of the Grandi Cru della Costa Toscana Association represent the most authentic expression of our territory: from mineral whites to complex reds and the famous Super Tuscans, every glass tells a unique story.

The Terroir

A complex and fascinating environment

01

Home to fresh, mineral white wines like Vermentino grown beneath the Apuan Alps, and rare grape varieties such as Pollera.

02

Today, Tuscan grapes like Sangiovese prevail, alongside excellent Syrah and Pinot Nero.

03

The homeland of Super Tuscans: the Mediterranean expression of Cabernet and Merlot grape varieties.

04

The most Mediterranean Sangiovese, but also volcanic Ciliegiolo and Ansonica from the islands.
